Products: tofu
Years ago I put some tofu into spaghetti and brought it to lunch at work--and only realized when I was halfway through that the tofu had gone bad. I didn't get sick, but it left such an after taste in my mouth that I basically stopped eating tofu except occasionally in restaurants, or mashed up as something creamy. But not the firm stuff.
But I really like the President's Choice marinated Teriyaki tofu, and that got me back In the Mood. I really like the fresh stuff from Asian markets, but it's too much to use all at once, and you have to change the water, so it's not practical. And it's usually quite soft.
Sometimes I buy the Mori Nu because the packets are smaller and last a long time. I'll buy the Sunrise of Pres Choice brand; and lately bought the Unisoya for firm.
But DON'T try the Unisoya curry flavour--ehhhhhhhh! I took a nibble before cooking, thought it was disgusting, and threw it out. Bleh.
Anyway, if I come up with some recipes that are easy and work out, I'll post.
